National BioResource Project (NBRP)

National BioResource Project (NBRP) conducts collection, preservation, and provision of bioresources that are essential experimental materials for life science research, particularly from the perspective of improving the quality of bioresources. As the core facility of “general microbes” in NBRP, JCM focuses on bioresources useful for research in environment and health sciences and aims to increase their value in order to meet to the current scientific demands.
