Special topic: Introducing the resource of Sporocarp inhabiting
               fungi (SCIF)
+---------------------------------------------------------------------
The term "fungicolous fungi" refers to species of fungi that are
associated with other fungi in their lifecycle. More than 1,500
species of sporocarp-inhabiting fungi (SCIF; that refers to growing on
sporocarps of other fungi) have been described [1], but previous
investigation of SCIF has suggested the existence of undescribed
species [2]. SCIF itself is still poorly known: the role in ecosystem,
seasonally, and their lifecycles of each species remain to be
resolved. Although many SCIF species remain uncultured, a useful
source of bioactive compounds was found from some species of SCIF [3].
JCM has several SCIF strains that recently published several by
Sa'diyah et al [4].
A list of representative strains shown as below:

Acrodontium sp. JCM 39224
Acrodontium sp. JCM 39228
Acrodontium sp. JCM 39229*
Acrodontium sp. JCM 39232
Acrodontium luzulae JCM 39231
Acrodontium luzulae JCM 39234
Acremonium sp. JCM 39225

*Identified as Acrodontium cf. salmoneum in Sa'diyah et al. [4]
